Wanda’s Story Ms. Wanda Yvette Dail On January 23, 1967, Tommy and Clara Dail were blessed with the birth of Wanda Yvette Dail, in Monroe, LA. She received her formal education at Sherrouse and Lincoln Elementary. She went on to graduate from Carroll High School (Monroe, LA) where she served as the Mighty Marching Band’s Drum Major. After graduating high school, Wanda joined the United States Air Force and proudly served her country from 1985 – 1992. Achieving numerous medals, ribbons and accommodations to include expert marksmanship ribbon, AF commendation medal and many more. After leaving the military she served as the supervisor for Office Depot before joining the United States Postal Service, where she served diligently for more than 20 years. Wanda accepted Christ at an early age at Bethel Baptist Church in Monroe, LA, where she served as a devoted Usher. She later found a place to call home in Texas at Gateway Church, Fort Worth campus. On May 18, 2020, a loyal United States Postal Worker, loving friend and supportive sister heard her name called by the Lord. Ms. Wanda transitioned from her earthly home to see the King. Ms. Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Dail and one sister, Gwendolyn Dail. She leaves to cherish her memories: Her father, Tommy Dail. Three sisters: Jacqueline Hardy, Cassandra Washington, Barbara Young. One brother, Tommy Dail II (Richelle). One Goddaughter, Domonique, a special nephew, Kyle Dail and special friends Cedric Gibson and Debbie Young. Spiritual advisors: her sister Debora Young, Pastor Patricia and Deacon “DJ”. A link has been removed from the Fabulous Five, but the Faithful Four (Andrea Marshall, Geneva Jackson, Shirley Ann and Tasha Dwamena) will carry on her legacy!
