The Life Story of Mrs. Alice Faye Williams Alice Faye Williams was born to the late Sammie and Pearl Harris on July 6, 1940, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She was affectionately known by the nickname “Sister”. Sister Alice graduated from Douglass High School in 1958. Sister Alice met, fell in love with and married Dave Williams, Sr. on December 29, 1963. To this union five children were born: Antwone Williams, Sr. of Dallas, Texas, Dave Williams, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Melissa Williams of Forney, Texas, Laura Williams of Mesquite, Texas, and Jermonty Williams, Sr. of Mesquite, Texas. Dave and Sister Alice made their home in Dallas, Texas and were married for more than 56 years. Sister Alice’s most rewarding job was raising her five children. She also worked outside the home for 17 years at the Sheraton Park Central Hotel in Dallas, Texas. She retired in 2003. During her retirement, she especially enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved everyone she met, and everyone loved her back. She loved to give and receive hugs and kisses. She also loved to dance. Sister Alice accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Damascus Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas for more than 33 years. Sister Alice passed away on June 12, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Sammie and Pearl Harris; sisters Thelma Lee Williams, Dorothy Peace and Wanda Harris-Whitmore. She is survived by her husband, Dave Williams, Sr. Five children: Antwone Williams, Sr, Dave Williams, Jr., Melissa Williams Johnson, Laura Williams, and Jermonty Williams, Sr. Three sisters: Annie M. Wilkerson of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Emma J. Delcambre of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Jane Clayton of DeSoto, Texas. One brother, Sammie Harris, Jr. of Dallas, Texas. And extended family of a sister-in-law, Earline Williams of Dallas, Texas, 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
